Acorn Artworks

Acorn Artworks has been forever evolving and active for over 20 years, producing many different types of art and creations over these years.

I have a background in Sign making, Screen Printing, Embroidery, Design, Mural painting, Canvas painting, Illustration, Woodwork and Sewing Toys.

I am not currently making Signs, but I have included a page for Oakwood Sign Company which is the name for the signage and textile side of Acorn Artworks.

I have really enjoyed the challenge of producing Pet Portraits. I have been lucky to meet a few of these pets and take my own reference photos to work from.

Gathering reference material has been an adventure all of it's own... I absolutely adore the outdoors and really enjoy immersing into nature. I spend a lot of time hiking, and often find myself out in the forest far longer than intended. I love finding the minuscule worlds within our own that are often overlooked and unnoticed.

I have ended up with enough reference material for life! Nothing is more satisfying that producing art from your own references. In saying that, I have a lot of art on here that was clearly not from my own references.

I have developed a love for photography and also sell a bit of what I have captured here on my site as well as in our AirBnb on our property.

I have produced a few Art tutorials and timelapse videos on Youtube many years ago. If you watch them, please prepare yourself... They are mostly from over ten years ago, but they are part of the history and progression of Acorn Artworks :)
